This egg salad sandwich is an American classic. This sandwich is easy to make, easy to customize, and it is also a family favorite. Sandwiched between two pieces of whole grain bread is a mixture of hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise, diced white onion and optional spices, such as paprika, pepper or garlic powder for additional flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Whole Grain Bread

  • 2 each Fresh Hardboiled Egg

  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise

  • 1/4 tsp Paprika

  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard

  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1/4 c Fresh Spring Mix

  • 2 slices Fresh Tomato

Directions

  • Mix egg, mayo, mustard and spiced together in a bowl. Stir well to combine.
  • Serve on 2 slices of bread, top with tomato slices and fresh spring mix.

  • Assemble all ingredients, utensils, etc. to be used in recipe within easy reach of prep area so that food safety can be managed more effectively as well as better control of contamination and cross contamination.
  • Remove product from refrigerator using oldest pack date first.
  • CCP: Wash hands thoroughly before handling food, after handling contaminated food or objects, and before switching to another step where there is an opportunity for contamination. This applies as well to before and after glove use.
  • Use clean pair of gloves when handling raw product. Replace gloves after handling any other object.
