Do you want to start a farm to school program but not sure how? In this coaching series attendees will learn how to cultivate their farm to school program, establish a farm to school team, learn how to properly procure local foods and learn how to bring farm to school to life in the cafeteria.

About Instructor

Stacey Bettis

Stacey is a Food Service Director that currently works for the Stark County Educational Service Center.  She is a graduate of one of her districts and then continued on to Stark State College.  Over the last 8 years she has done shared services for multiple districts.  The three districts that she currently is serving are Minerva Local, Tuscarawas Valley and Brown Local School Districts, which are located in Stark, Carroll and Tuscarawas County, Ohio.  She has been a member of SNA for the past 10 years and has served in a variety of different capacities on the chapter level which include Education Chair, Legislative Chair, Vice President and President along with serving on the Ohio SNA board as the East Central Regional, Vice President, President Elect, President and Past President.

I have not tried Farm to School in my district yet but Stacey’s presentation gave me some wonderful ideas to think about!
