We always ask for references, but how often do we really check them? What are some important questions you ask references? One important thought to consider is that the company answering your RFP is not going to give you contact information for someone who is unhappy with them. There are other ways to get this information though. You can ask your respondents to include a list of their most recent customers as well as a list of customers who have recently stopped using their technology. Everything is about social interaction these days, so another great resource is the internet. Ask around on social media.
